The UK Government has announced that workers who have not used all of their annual leave due to the coronavirus pandemic will be allowed to carry days over for the next two years. Employees should be able to carry over up to four weeks of unused annual leave. We are of the view that this does not entitle employees to cancel holidays just because they cannot go abroad but is instead aimed at employers who cannot allow employees to take holidays on their return to work after the pandemic because of business needs.
